Happy Halloween Everyone!
I hope you all have a lovely break and enjoy the holidays. Here are some pictures of some things we have been getting up to in room 2. Maths week was cut short with storm Ophelia but it did not stop us doing some maths activities. We even made patterns in PE! We sorted the girls and boys into groups and we did patterns using the beanbags. Before our holidays we also did some baking as a treat for the boys and girls who have worked so hard in Junior Infants. Finally some pictures of the children in the Spooky Room decorated by the Parents Association and the children on their Witches Walk. There were 20 very tired boys and girls in Room 2 after our long long walk! Thank you for all of those who returned the cards and money for the sponsored walk it is much appreciated. Also a huge thank you to the mammies on the parents committee who put huge effort into making the Halloween activities enjoyable for the children.

What a busy month! We have been settling in so well to Junior Infants. Every day we do our activities, songs, rhymes, read a story and learn a new sound. We have also done painting, cutting, maths games, PE and on Friday we went on an autumn hunt. We found lots of leaves and glued them to make pictures. The pictures are displayed in the corridor and they look beautiful!
Here are the songs that we have listened to in school
One little finger
A great hit with all the children and you can see them dancing to it in some of the pictures below
Nursery rhymes: Humpty Dumpty and Hickory Dickory Dock
Yellow Submarine by The Beatles. You may have noticed the yellow submarines that we painted when we were learning the colour yellow. We listened to the song as we painted.

Meeting the Junior Infant Parents
Thank you to all the parents who came to the meeting on Thursday. It was a great opportunity to get to know you all. I have posted a link below for parents who were unable to attend the meeting or first time parents to St. Paul's as there was alot of information about school life in St. Paul's JNS discussed. If you you any further questions I'd be happy to help just please make an appointment any day at 1:30pm.
