Our class performed the play 'The Sleepy Sheperd' for the school Christmas show. We had so much fun rehearsing and preparing for the big show and I think it is safe to say WE SMASHED IT! We love performing in Ms. Walsh's class! We are really working hard for our Active Schools flag. We had a Jingle Bell jog around the school grounds to keep us active and energetic!

Songs to practise for our Christmas Play! Our Christmas Play will be on the 19th and 20th of December in school! We are doing lots of rehearsals in school and we are so excited! We use this video to learn the song "One Night One Moment" from Nativity the movie! We did lots of cool experiments for Science week! We created a rainbow using skittles and warm water. We examined the tubes in a plant and investigating how plants drink water from their roots. We also did a milk experiment where we could make the milk run away from fairy liquid and it created a firework pattern! We created our own lava lamp in a bottle! Finally, we did a taste taste where we were blindfolded and we had to guess what the food was using our taste buds! We are so proud of own WOW work wall showing our writing of what we did for Science week too! We are working towards our Active flag in our school. We are taking part in the Dare to Believe Olympic Movement breaks every day. Today, we had to do some boxing challenges lead by Dean Clancy!
We are exploring different homes in History and Geography. We got to make our own homes using lego and we are also going to constuct homes using recycled 3D shaped materials! We love working in groups because "Teamwork makes the dream work!" We had lots of fun in school for Halloween. We went on our Witch's Walk around the local community and we also got to do some fun trick or treating in the hall with the Parents' Association! We also performed our Halloween poem "Oiche Shamhna" at the Halloween parade in the hall! We do lots of brain breaks in our class to help us be more active. Our school is working really hard to getting an Active flag and this week we discussed how our class is active. We love doing Go Noodles, Mario Brain Breaks on Youtube, our active good morning song each morning and doing our run on our active walkway daily. Check out our video below of us doing a Go Noodle to get our bodies moving in class! Exercise gives us energy! For the first day of Maths Week, we created 2D shape Haunted Houses! We also started our estimation jar challenge and our Maths Blast mental maths challenges in the morning too! Maths is one of our favourite subjects in Room 9!
