This week we focused our attention on Maths for our annual Maths Week event. Each morning we played lots of number and counting games. During the day, we found shapes in our classroom, numbers hidden around the classroom and played counted games on the Interactive Whiteboard.
We have really enjoyed practicing the Story of 6 using 6 counters. We listened to number songs and poems also, with an added Halloween theme.
The children were so excited all week for Thursday when they would finally get to show off their creative side in a Maths costume. The boys and girls along with the grown ups at home created some fantastic costumes. There were maths wizards, dominos, dice, number fairies to name but a few.
