We have had two fantastic sessions of Maths for Fun. For 45mins once a week the children play Maths based board games in small groups. They get to develop their mental Maths skills in a fun and exciting way. A huge thank you to the volunteers who have made this possible. Thank you Carole, Ciara, Niamh, Pamela and Roisín!
We had a fantastic time at Newgrange Farm today. Have a look at all of the wonderful animals we saw and all of the fun we had.

We designed posters to advertise Our School Sports day and the upcoming Cake Sale. Some of us worked in pairs and some of us decided to be creative on our own. You will see our posters all around the school. We hope to see you on the day.
We got off to a great start for Active Schools Week! We did our 10at10, dancing, caitheamh aimsire as Gaeilge and jogging in yard. Tonight we have to do heel kicks for homework.
Dancer For Cancer
Check out our mega dance moves as we raised money for cancer research.
For our art lesson we were able to pick an object to draw. Some of us brought in toys to draw and some of us drew objects from our classroom. It was great to have the objects in front of us so that we could see all the details as we drew.
Look at our fabulous drawings!

We were involved in a Teacher Artist Partnership with Margret Callan Bergin from October to February of this year. This partnership came about as a result of a course I took part in at Drumcondra Education Centre over the summer. The partnership has been a resounding success. Every Tuesday Margaret drew on the children’s creativity and imagination. The partnership has provided an opportunity for the children to develop their literacy, oral language, visual arts, drama and interpersonal skills while gaining greater confidence and an ability to express themselves. The children created a magical story that explores the themes of friendship and inclusion.
We visited Rua Red Arts Centre in Tallaght on Thursday 13th December to record our story. It really was a great opportunity for the children. The resulting recording is fabulous and the children were all very proud to hear themselves telling the story.
On Wednesday 13th February we visited Drumcondra Education Centre to present our wonderful work. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Margaret for her hard work and dedication throughout the entire programme. She made great efforts to get to know each child and her interactions with them were both caring and encouraging. We will all miss her.
