We had a great time preparing for Christmas in Junior Infants. We really enjoyed performing on the stage for all our families. The cinema trip was really exciting too. We watched Abonimable. Our Jingle Bell Jog was great fun as we jogged around the yard altogether. We had a lovely carol service in the church with all the Junior school and we sang Away in a Manger with Room 1. But the best thing had to be the wonderful visit from Santa. He arrived on a fire engine and met with all the boys and girls in his grotto. He had a team of wonderful elves who worked really hard helping him all day. We had a fantastic first Christmas in St. Paul's. Special thanks to Ms Kenny who took all the lovely photographs!
October was a fun month in Room 2. After the great costume ideas for Maths Week, we had to get our creative, thinking caps on again for our Witch Walk. Room 2 certainly did not dissappoint! We had vampires, witches, cats, pirates, unicorns, skeletons and a whole lot more.......
Special thanks to our wonderful parents' association who made a fun, spooky Halloween room in our school. Thanks also to Ms Hanlon and Ms O'Connell who accompanied us on our Witch Walk around Ayrfield.
We finished off an exhilarating day with a Halloween parade in the hall where we sang our Halloween song The Witch Rides. Well done to all the boys and girls in Room 2!
As part of Maths Week all the children in our school dressed up with Maths in mind. Well done to all the boys and girls in Room 2 for their excellent effort. The children had great fun dressing up as numbers, dice and we even had a number doctor!!! A super effort, well done.
