This week we had lots of fun opportunities to create new friends & to show love and respect to exisiting friends. We also got to work collaboratively with the first class boys and girls from Room 12. We made friendship bracelets together and created imaginative things in lego. We had a great day. There was lots of smiles and shocked faces when Santa walked into our classroom. He had a great chat with all the children and reminded them to be extra good for their parents this christmas. He gave them all a selection box as a treat too! Lucky lucky children. This week we read a story about making jelly so we decided we would make our own jelly. We observed how the jelly changes from a solid to liquid and how different temperatures affect things. The children loved the end result which was to taste jelly. Some children loved it and tired different flavours, others were not so keen !! They had great fun.
Maths week was full of fun activities. The children enjoyed maths trails, working in pairs, working with numbers and using their own imagination to create maths scenarios together.
The boys are girs from senior infants were unrecognisable today in their costumes. They looked super! We had fun with the activities in the hall organised by the parents associations and recieved lovely halloween goodie bags. The children managed to get out for our witch walk in between the wet showers. It was great fun.
Welcome to Senior Infants, Room 1.
