Our class had the best attendance in the school for the month of April and as a result we are very lucky to have 'Attendance Ted' visiting our classroom. We had a teddy bears picnic with Ted to celebrate our achievement!

We went on a trip to the garden centre as we are learning all about the garden centre in English and Aistear. We saw lots of spring flowers such as daffodils which we were also learning about in science. We had a visit from the Gardaí. They told us all about their job. They also let us try on their hat and vest. The vest was very heavy!
For the month of October, we have been learning all about the fire station and fire safety in Aistear. We were delighted when a firefighter paid a visit to our school to tell us all about his job. It was national tree day on the 6th of October. We planted a holly tree in the school garden on the day. School Tour We visited Red Mountain Farm for our school tour this year. There was so much to do and we really enjoyed our day with our friends. We got to go on a tractor trail, play football, visit the animals and even pet some of them AND got to visit the playground (we particularly loved the sandpit!) Sports Day May was a busy month in Room 2. We had a special trip to St Anne's Park and played in the playground with all the other boys and girls in Junior Infants. We LOVED going on the Double Decker bus there and back and we especially when we sat up on the top! We visited the St. Anne's City Farm where we learned all about their wonderful animals and composting that they do on site. We learned that all the animals have been rescued and given a lovely safe home where they are cared for by the volunteers there, Under the Sea in Room 2!
