Lá fhéile Pádraig sona dhaoibh! Everyone looked great today kitted out in their St.Patrick's day gear. The children performed "Oro se de bheitha bhaile" in the hall today for the other classes. They did a brilliant job! Thankfully this year we get to celebrate St.Patrick's day with a little bit of normality!
Today we had an interesting math's lesson. We used indivdual ipods as part of our maths lesson. The children had to come up with 2 numbers that equal a certain number. They had to select the correct sum in order to complete the grid. They then recorded their sum in their copies. They really enjoyed working independently and with the use of technology.
We had lots of fun on world book day. We brought in our favourite books to present to the class. The children described and recommended various books to their friends. We did a "teacher swap" so another teacher read a story to the children. We also enjoyed the fun of " Drop Everything And Read". The children also designed their own book cover which was very interesting. They had lots of great ideas.
