 We had lots of fun our our sponsered "Witch's Walk" around the community. The Parents Association also organized amazing trick or treat games for us in the hall and we all got a goody bag to bring home! Room 2 would like to wish everyone a HAPPY HALLOWEEN! We drew our very own Frankenstein Drawings for Halloween!

For Maths week, we took part in fun Maths activities every day. We created patterns, did some halloween shape cutting and sticking and had fun Maths homework every evening too!We also got to play fun Maths games on the iPads with our partners! Teamwork makes the dream work!We took part in the Skip Around the World challenge for Active Schools. We tried to fit in as much skipping as possible during our busy school days! Our skipping skills have also definitely improved since Junior Infants! For art, we did some lovely leaf prints which we really enjoyed! We also have improved so much with our writing and wrote some Autumn reports. The children were so proud of their writing so we had to create an Autumn display outside the classroom for others to see!  We went on an Autumn walk and collected some Autumn leaves. We saw lots of signs of Autumn along the way and had lots of fun being out of the classroom!  We explored how we can mix the 3 primary colours to make new colours. We made colour wheels for our Colour Mixing Caterpillar display!
Welcome back to school from all of the boys and girls from Senior Infants Room 2. We settled back in for our first day back today in our new classroom and we are super excited to be back seeing our friends and teacher Ms Walsh!  To celebrate our last day in Junior Infants, Ms Walsh treated us to an Ice Cream Party! We also were surprised with candy floss too! See you all in September!    We went to Red Mountain Farm in Meath for our school tour this year. We saw lots of animals and had the best day together! We had some visitors from Ayrfield's club to teach us some Taekwando skills! We loved it! |
