We had the best fun on our first school tour. We went on a double decker bus and went to Red Mountain Farm . The children got to meet lots of animals, went on a tractor ride, had fun in the playground, drove mini tractors and had a picnic in the barn. They had a great time.

A special visit from the Gardaí

We had a special visit from the Gardaí this month. They came to tell us all about the good things they do in the community and how they can help us all if we ever need them. They explained the special things they need as part of their uniform and some children even got to try some of them on ! We had great fun.

A Special Visit from the main man !!

Santa came to our school !

This was super exciting. We heard bells outside and we jumped from our chairs to look out the window. The children couldn't believe it. Santa was waving in the window. It was so exciting. He came into the school and we got to chat to him and get our photo taken.
When we came back to the class he had left a sack for us. Inside we found a selection box for everyone.  It was a great day!

We are very excited about Christmas. We have gotten into the Christmas spirit and our classroom has been transformed. We have started "Aistear" where the children engage in learning through play at different stations. We have set up role play in Santa's workshop , a playdough station, a number station, a reading station and an art station. All stations are based on the Christmas theme. The children loved engaging in this form of learning.
