Over the past week we have participated in many activities.  Drop everything and dance, sports day, yoga, GAA, runway, outdoor games but our favourite was working with Room 2 on a fairy trail activity. 

The children helped out with a soil preparation group today. We are hoping to create an outdoor classroom and forest area for the children to enjoy in the coming months and years. The first step is preparing the soil. Children helped move soil to appropriate area. Have a look at all our hard work.

We had a great surprise today with a visit from Farmer Tom of Agri-Aware. It was so much fun to see the animals in our school and ask Farmer Tom lots of questions. 

As part of Music and Science for this month we made music shakers. We discussed how best to make the shakers and what we needed. We listened to the different shakers and how they sounded depending on how much rice or past they were filled with. Afterwards we decorated our shakers. 

We enjoyed many activities this week, among our favourite working with the boys and girls in Room 8. We completed an art activity together but we were having so much fun that the Room 8 children stayed a little longer and Senior Infants read to them. 

We had a very spooky Halloween in St. Pauls. The children made a great effort with their costumes - well done! 
We raised lots of money for our school with our sponsored Witches Walk. We loved walking in our community showing off our spooky costumes. 
Our Parents Association had some games for us to play and a goody bag - thank you.
Next, we went to the Hall for our concert. We sang our spooky songs and had lots of actions with each of them, Well done to the children for performing so well. 

The children have made great progress at practising the skills of football and hurling with our coach Aisling from O'Tooles. We really enjoyed hurling when we got to use the hurls and helmets. We can't wait for our next term of GAA

The boys and girls have settled back so well into Senior Infants. It's been a busy start back to school,. The children are all so excited to see their friends again and learn lots of new things. 

We had fun with the Dancing Raisins experiment. We couldn't qute believe our eyes when we saw the raisins jumping up and down in the glass of 7Up

We had a fantastic dress up day on Thursday for Halloween. First we went to the hall where the Parents Association had set up activity tables and treats for us to collect. Then we went on the sponsored Witches Walk. When we got back we went to the hall to sing our song and listen to all the other children in the school. We finished off the day with Halloween activities in the classroom. 
A big thanks to all who donated towards the Witches Walk - we'd a spooktacular day.
