Discover Primary Science Award

14/3/2019

We were delighted to receive the Discover Primary Science award again this year. The award recognises the school's effort and achievement in involving children in hands on science experiences and linking this with maths, engineering, and ICT activities. We are proud to have won 13 successive DPSM awards, which is a significant result in itself, but particularly for a junior school. We will be entering the children's work again this year. The award involves whole school and classroom participation in science experiences and experiments, as well as school visits from different scientists including biologists, chemists, physicists and others involved in various scientific fields. This gives the children fantastic exposure to science in many guises and provides them with opportunities to see what a career in science could be like for them.

  News  - WEBSITE AWARD
We were delighted to hear that the school  website has been awarded a Scoilnet 'Star Site'.  This award recognises excellence in school sites in areas such as layout, content, communication, and relevance. We are thrilled to receive such recognition for the time and effort put in by the staff to update and improve the website.  We use the website as a valuable tool to inform parents and the wider Ayrfield community of the events, activities, and work the children take part in, in St Paul's. For further details as to why the website was granted this award, please click below. For any further ideas on how to improve the website, please contact us as we would be delighted to hear from you.
