As part of our Discovery Primary Science program we went on a trip to Bull Island. We enjoyed listening to a presentation which told us all about the different animal and plant habitats living on the island. We also enjoyed playing on the beach! In Science, we learned all about eggs! We found out that lots of different animals lay eggs such as turtles, snakes and spiders.
We then did an experiment where we put eggs into water and vinegar. We then compared the impact of these liquids on the eggshells. The egg soaked in vinegar changed appearance and was bouncy to touch! In Irish, we are learning all about 'Eadaí'. In our pairs we had a comhrá all about the different eadaí 'Teidí' is wearing. As a special Christmas treat, we decorated cookies and made hot chocolate! It was yummy! We then had great fun dancing along to Christmas songs!
In November, we learned all about houses. For our homework, we researched different types of houses and completed the following masterpieces:We learnt all about primary and secondary colours. The primary colours are red, yellow and blue. When we mix these colours together we make secondary colours, such as purple, green and orange.
