The school was buzzing today with all the grandparents who came to visit for Grandparents Day. We hope that you all had a wonderful time with your precious grandchildren. A big thank you to Fr Deegan, our SNAs who decorated the hall so beautifully, Ms McDermott who coordinated the prayer service, Robert who prepared the hall, the parents who provided tea and coffee, the children, and all members of staff for making the day such a happy and memorable event.
We are looking forward to celebrating Grandparents Day on Wednesday 29th, as part of Catholic Schools Week. Grandparents, do you have some interesting memories from your school days? Don't forget to share them with your grandchild on Wednesday. See you then. Everyone in the school is excited to be taking part in the Super Troopers health programme. Each child has a Health Homework Journal which outlines a new activity to complete each day. The children can also record other activities, e.g. dance class, football. Keep active, eat healthy and stay happy! The Garda Band paid us a surprise visit today. We were all entertained by their wonderful music, including some familiar theme tunes like The Simpsons, Star Wars and The Flintstones (one for the teachers). We sang and danced to 'Happy' and 'Shotgun'. A big thank you to all members of the band. We hope to see you soon! |
