SeeSaw and Zoom meetings have been busy this morning with some great photos and stories about making snowmen and having snowball fights. It looks like everyone had a great day!
In most homes there's usually a pack of playing cards hiding at the bottom of a drawer. Why not take them out and play a few card games with your children. Here are some ideas of 'child friendly' card games. Card games help to develop many skills including social skills, concentration and fine motor skills. Enjoy! 'Telling the time' is a really important life skill. Look at the numbers on the clock and talk about the big/minute hand and small/hour hand. What does each hand tell us? Which hand moves faster? Practice telling the time throughout the day. For a little extra, try some of these games. o'clock, time game, digital. Why not take a few minutes to 'settle your mind and body' before you start into your work. Mind Yeti on your tube has some nice short videos to help out. Give it a go! RTÉ Home School Hub is back from 10-12 Monday to Friday on RTÉ 2. If you don't catch it live check it out at www.rte.ie/player/. We are all back teaching and learning from home today. It's a bit strange but most of us have done this before so we will be well able to get through it. Remember, reading your favourite book, playing LEGO and going for a nature walk all provide opportunities for learning. Be kind to yourself and be kind to each other. |
