Class Zoom Meetings started on Friday June 5th. There have been show and tell meetings, scavenger hunts and lots of news has been shared. It has been great to see everyone's smiling faces. We are all really looking forwarding to catching up with the children again this Friday.
Great fun was had during Sports Week. Lots of the pupils and their families took part. There were running challenges, football drills and lots of other activities. Great work from everyone!
Táimid ag ceilúradh Seachtain na Gaeilge 2020 ar scoil. Ar an Déardaoin beidh ceoltóirí ag teacht go dtí an halla. Bígí ag caint as Gaeilge!
There was lots of reading going on in each class on Thursday to celebrate World Book Day 2020. Classes joined together for shared reading and some children designed covers to illustrate their favourite books. Remember to keep on reading!
Ms Brown, Mrs O'Hanlon and Ms McCabe have done great work updating our school library. It is a bright, child friendly and accessible space. We have lots of wonderful books for the children to enjoy. There will be a few more additions in the coming weeks. Keep an eye for updates.
Room 8 welcomed spring with this beautiful floral display. We love the pop of colour on the corridor.
The children from 1st and 2nd Class worked with the children from Junior Infants and Senior Infants to show the importance of school community. It was great to make some new friends from different classes. They really did a wonderful job!
The children attended a whole school assembly on Friday, celebrating friendship and love. We changed to a red and pink uniform for the day that was in it! Older classes visited the younger children for some art and conversation.
On Friday, the children are invited to wear pink and red to school to celebrate St. Valentine's Day. We will think about our family and friends and how we show love and respect to the special people in our lives.
Well done to all the boys and girls in 2nd class who received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time on Thursday evening. It was a very special occasion for all. Thank you to Fr. Deegan and his fellow priests who helped to make it such a calm and peaceful ceremony.
